Main responsibilities:
- Installation, commissioning and maintenance of railway signalling and telecommunications equipment and systems;
- Complying with the layout, manuals and instructions for the installation of the respective installations;
- Installing equipment cabinets and fixing systems;
- Making and testing the necessary cable connections;
- Performing routine tests to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications and regulations;
- Identifying any technical faults;
- Drawing up the necessary documents to record the work carried out and handing them over to the authorised departments on time.
Requirements:
- This position requires travel within the country or abroad ( travel can be of varying duration, from the order of days/weeks to posting abroad for several consecutive months);
- Travel to client premises or site locations as agreed with managers and clients;
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, without back office support if required;
- Ability to priorities and manage multiple tasks;
- Willingness to work flexible hours depending on project specifics and client requirements;
- Previous similar experience in the telecom industry is mandatory;
- Technical studies are an advantage;
- Experience in field projects (0-2 years) is an advantage;
- Experience (1-4 years) in a similar role is a great advantage;
- Good knowledge of English;
- Good knowledge of German;
- Driving licence category B is mandatory;
- Comfortable working at height.
