    • 24*7 Alarm monitoring of MW/Transport elements.
    • Ticket creation, cancelling, clearing, resolving, and closing incident records.
    • Escalate critical/major incidents based on escalation matrix with all stakeholders.
    • Diagnosis of all minor, major and critical alarms.
    • Troubleshooting of RAN faults under guidance of senior engineers.
    • Follow and adhere SLAs and KPIs for Network alarms and Customer complaints.
    • Co-ordinate with service operations center team for the tickets raised for service and performance alarms.
    • Raise tickets as a part of problem management for recurring faults
    • Resolve the tickets and incidents by analysis and identification techniques.
    • Responding to an alarm notification to evaluate the impact of the alarm.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE:

    • Transmission IP work experience is an advantage.
    • Should have an operations experience in following technologies implemented in Mobile network.
    • SDH / SONET
    • DWDM / WDM / MUX
    • Microwave SDH / PDH
    • Device level experience for any of following mentioned network elements in transmission equipment’s like Huawei, Nortel, ALU, Marconi, Ericsson, Nokia etc.
    • Should have basic understanding of mobile backhaul network on MPLS, Ethernet, ATM, TDM.
    • Have good analytical and technical issue resolution skills.
    • Should have user level knowledge of OSS / NMS tools, preferable to have experience on Netcool, Remedy

What you will do:

Is a engineer responsible to perform network degradation analysis based on an event called alert or a ticket. During the analysis it is necessary to identify the cause of the degradation and to take the necessary action according to technical instruction and the process in place. This action should clear the degradation appeared at a cell/sector/site level. All the actions are registered in the tool used to treat/follow the alerts and these actions are having a description in a dictionary of actions. If the diagnostic and the following actions were correct identified normally the next action would be to close the alert as the degradation disappeared. In case that the competence level is not enough performance engineer should create a TT (Trouble Ticket) and send it to the responsible group, according to the interaction matrix.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical understanding required of GSM/GPRS/UMTS/LTE system architecture;
  • Proven operations/engineering experience working for a Network Operator or Supplier environment;
  • Good analytical skills for extracting, processing and manipulating data;
  • Proven experience of MS Office;
  • Good understanding of Operational and Customer Experience issues related to mobile radio networks;

In this role, you will provide incident management and service restoration support. You have to manage end-to-end resolution of an incident including support provided by non-GNOC organizations and to manage the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Network outages, drive Lesson Learned and corrective actions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive complex outage and restore the services in synchronization with the customer, partners and Technical Support Operations;
  • Play the role of Outage Manager, if required, to ensure effective coordination of resources involved in trouble resolution;
  • Resolve incidents within defined time period, and escalate unresolved incidents to Technical Support Operations, Outside Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), third-party providers, etc;
  • Manage the communication during incidents, for ongoing tickets or when requested;
  • Produce Incident Reports, conduct RCA analyze and Lesson Learned;
  • Reviewing and auditing the process;
  • Producing management information, including KPIs and reports;
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of incident management and making recommendations for improvement and actions tracking;
  • Driving, developing, managing and maintaining the major incident process and associated procedures;
  • Ticket backlog management and push for resolution aged tickets;
  • On call duty for out of hours incidents;
  • Provide inputs for the ticket handling quality assessment.
